Message from SPC Matt Woodford - Army NG

Thank you for all your work in putting this event together it was a good time. I had not gone Pheasant Hunting before today nor had I gone bird hunting with a dog or a guide. So thank you again.

You all brought a big smile to my family and I this weekend!!! In this hard time my wife and I needed a big pick me up and you wonderful people gave your all. Thank you all so very much. Our new family member has made herself right at home. I cant say thank you enough! SSG Tom Lamwers

Message from TSgt. Grant Gimpel - 148th Duluth Bull Dogs

Wants to send a huge thank you out to Scott County Pheasants Forever Chapter #125 & BigTradeUp.com for being one of five proud new owners of an AKC Black Lab Puppy that was given to Military Veterans. She is a great addition to my family. It was a GREAT Day yesterday!

Message from a Mom - My name is Debbie and I live in a small town in PA. I am writing to thank you for the wonderful experience you gave to my son. You had the opportunity to meet my son, Doug at the special pheasant hunt not to long ago. I am sure he thanked you repeatedly that day, but he is not much for the written word. I, however, can not let this opportunity go by without sharing my sincere thanks with you. As soon as Doug got home that day he called his father and me. The joy and excitement in his voice was overwhelming! He was so grateful and happy to have had such a great day in the field again. Since Doug was in Iraq and Kuwait this past year he hadn't had a chance to go hunting for quite some time. He appreciated so much the generosity you showed to all of them that day. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and willingness to give back to these young men who so willingly protect our freedoms. You gave these men a wonderful day they will always remember. Please share our gratitude with all those involved in making that day possible for those young men of our military. You are all great patriots, as well, in our eyes. Sincerely Ray and Debbie S.  - Proud Parents of Staff Sgt. Douglas S. - USAF

Andrews, Samuel CPTR IN – Operation Officer with the MN National Guard stated “I missed the fall 07 hunting season because I went overseas. This hunt was amazing, 50 soldiers were provided 3 boxes of shotgun shells, 3 birds per soldier were set out, a round of sporting clays and lunch. It was a great time! I was able to hunt with all of my buddies…there were guides w/dogs from all over Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Lots of people say they support the troops, however The Scott County Chapter of Pheasants Forever and supporters put their time and money into a great event for us.”

Nelson, Kris, SSG Training NCO - Charlie Company 2-135th IN: "I attended last year's pheasant hunt and just want to thank you again for all that you did.  The whole day was perfect and I could not imagine anything that could have made it better.  I especially enjoyed our handlers.  The work that their dogs did, and the conversation that they brought to the day was fantastic.  In keeping with that spirit, I would like to offer the services of myself and my yellow lab Molly for next year's hunt. I would love to help."

    Ms. Dvorak:

My husband asked that I take a moment and thank you for this generous opportunity, he would love to take you up on your offer, as he was deployed Dec 2007 to Jan 2008; but he will once again be deploying before your scheduled hunt in 2010.

Thank you for reaching out to the veteran's you are most greatly appreciated for your thoughts and efforts.

Very kindest Regards: Markey & Tim D.
